And maybe it is only that it may not have reached a great audience on the African continent, but this story 'for children all over Africa' — oh how I love this dedication — is bound to be an African household teaching for all.

‘Charles Kabuga: Learning, Leading, Legacy’ – A Book Review
Charles Kabuga is a happy and social man. He cherishes friendships and out of these, has created a family out of his relations. Love is cherished throughout the book. He loves his community. He loves his family. He loves his clanmates. He loves his workmates. Special mention must be made also that he loves his dear wife, his Queen, Margaret.

In fact, it cannot be overemphasised that Kayibanda dreams evil, thinks evil, enjoys evil, sees evil and does evil. For Kayibanda, it is evil after evil after evil after evil! It can be said that now, the author seems to make a hidden inference that Kayibanda takes after his true father, one of the rogues that gang-raped the innocent Bekunda; for most certainly the difference in intent between him and his grandfather does not endorse the proposition that 'Like Rukundakanuzire, like Kayibanda.' As the old adage goes, indeed it is, 'Like father, like son.'
